For better clinical trial execution.

In this edition: our new CRA Monitoring Support Service, reducing avoidable queries, improving UAT effectiveness, strengthening collaboration between study sites and data management, and upcoming industry events.

Workforce Solutions & Operational Excellence

➡️ Need experienced CRA support when project demands increase?

As study complexity grows and timelines become tighter, many CROs face the challenge of securing qualified monitoring resources at the right time. Camovis supports CROs with experienced Clinical Research Associates who seamlessly integrate into existing project teams and provide flexible monitoring support where additional capacity or expertise is needed.

We do not replace existing monitoring teams, we strengthen them. Our experienced CRAs provide temporary support whenever additional capacity is needed, helping CROs manage workload peaks and resource shortages without the need for permanent recruitment.

What makes our approach different? Our CRAs combine monitoring expertise with hands-on experience from clinical trial operations, enabling efficient collaboration with study sites while maintaining a strong focus on quality, compliance, and study performance.

As a valued member of our network, you're among the first to hear about our new CRA Monitoring Support Service before its broader launch.

Quality Matters

➡️  Every query has a cost.

Queries are an essential part of quality management, but high query volumes often indicate upstream process issues rather than isolated data entry errors. Inconsistent source documentation, unclear eCRF structures, missing user guidance, and insufficient process alignment can all contribute to avoidable query cycles.

Organizations that focus on preventing queries rather than simply resolving them can reduce operational burden, accelerate data cleaning activities, and improve overall study efficiency.

Quality starts long before the first query is raised.

Operational Efficiency & Study Performance

➡️ Is your UAT testing the system or the user experience?

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is a critical step before new clinical systems go live. Yet in many projects, UAT is primarily conducted by sponsor and CRO teams, while the people who will work with the system on a daily basis at study sites are rarely involved.

The result? Systems may meet technical requirements but still create challenges in day-to-day study operations, leading to inefficiencies, additional training needs, and avoidable queries after go-live.

From our experience, involving site personnel early in UAT can help identify workflow-related issues before they impact study conduct. User-centric testing not only supports usability but can also contribute to smoother implementation and higher overall study performance.

Could end-user involvement make your UAT process more effective?

Clinical Research Insights

➡️ Study Coordinator meets Data Manager: Why collaboration matters before study start

In a recent Camovis-led World Café workshop, Study Coordinators, Study Nurses, and Data Management professionals came together to explore operational challenges and opportunities for improving collaboration throughout the study lifecycle.

One key insight emerged across all discussions: many inefficiencies that impact study timelines and data quality originate long before study conduct begins. Communication gaps, unclear processes, inefficient query handling, and workflow challenges often have their roots in planning and study design decisions. For sponsors and CROs, this creates an important opportunity. Strengthening collaboration between operational site teams and data management during the early stages of a study can help reduce avoidable rework, streamline data clarification processes, and support more efficient study execution throughout the project lifecycle.

Sometimes improving study performance starts with bringing the right stakeholders together before the first patient is enrolled.
